YAY! Weekend. Gen and I are going to the LA Flower Mart tomorrow at 8 am to pick vases and look at flowers. The wedding is starting to feel a bit more real now.... I REALLY hope this rain stops at some point though.

I was listening to the radio on the way to work yesterday and they were talking about a contest where you can win a trip to different countries to hear a big band. They said Australia for the Big Day out and Ireland for something, etc and my heart started pounding a little and I got a little jealous and thought, wow I want to win and go somewhere. This was all juts for a split second and then I came back to reality. I guess the travelling bug hasn't died completely!

I finally got the pictures from the Engagement Party and New Years at the Keeneys edited. Here they are: Engagement Party week at the Keeney's
I had a lovely Bridal Shower on Saturday! The weather was beautiful and it was just perfect! My Aunt Sue and cousins Renee and Megann had the shower at their house. We played a game with me putting on a bunch of clothes blindfolded and then a game where we had to guess celebrity Brides and Grooms. That was a lot of fun and Katherine, Gen, Renee and Angie all won! Lunch was excellent with quiche, salad and even a cake! I received so many wonderful gifts, it was quite overwhelming. It is so hard to believe the wedding is only 4 short weeks away. The shower helped bring it to reality but I am still not completely there in believing this whole wedding thing!

Thank you so much to everyone who was able to come to the shower. Also thank you very much to those of you who couldn't make it but sent gifts, that was so thoughtful of you and so totally unexpected! What a wonderful day. You all helped make it so special!!!

YAY! Jamie is back from his week long diving trip to Curacao. It's amazing how attached I've gotten to the guy! It's definitely good to have him back.

Very surreal thought that I will be getting married one month from today. It's probably the biggest life-changing event that I will have and I cannot even imagine it. I had a friend comment that I am very calm for being a bride getting married soon and I think it is because it just seems so unreal. What is there to stress about when you can't imagine it? I have all the perfect pictures in my head but I am convinced it won't go perfect (which is good, expect the unexpected) that I am at a very don't worry about it stage. We'll see how I am doing in another week. :)

Here I am at my new desk and it is beautiful!! I can see the LA river (which is just trickling now) and the mountains. I am finally starting to get settled in but am still working down in a conference room building computers most of the day. I gotta tell you though, going out at lunch today and soaking up the 80 degree weather and having Salvadorian food was just a piece of heaven. It's to be in the 80s all week and I couldn't ask for anything better! Everything is so green around here right now from all the rain which looks pretty but I always think of the bad side, there will be lots more stuff growing that will be able to burn this summer. Not looking forward to fire season!

Being home again I am really appreciating the little things. On Saturday night, I stopped by the market at about 9pm and it was open!!! Woo-hoo. I pulled 6 dollar bills out of my wallet for lunch today and was thankful that they weren't heavy pound coins! I'm sitting at work and I'm not too hot and not too cold. I ate in the work cafeteria the other day and did not get sick! Oh there are so many things but the #1 best thing of all is going outside wearing short sleeves! No scarf, no big jacket! No umbrella!!! Woo-hoo!!!!

Well my first week of work is done. It was a great week and I got a lot accomplished. I still haven't had a chance to see Mike Melville though!!! I can't believe how busy I was. It sure was a nice change. I spent the week in a big conference room that we have set up to seed all of these tablet pc's and then we spend about 2 hours on each one loading all the programs and setting them up the way they need to be for the users. It was a good way to get used to it all. It also worked out to have a place to go since I don't really have a desk yet. There is a girl on our team that is moving to another team and I will be moving into her desk so I am waiting for that before I get all settled. It's a great desk too! A corner cube with a view of the mountains. I am so darn lucky to get it!! You have no idea unless you have worked int he Glendale building what a score this is!!

Today Jamie and I are going to get his tuxedo picked out and then maybe a movie? Tomorrow I am really looking forward to as we are going to the LA Auto show. It makes me think of the devil trio (Sean, Ian and Michael) and how much they would probably like to go. I am really looking forward to seeing the new convertible Mustang!! Woo-hoo!!!

Have a great weekend!

Here is a Keeney Family Picture from this past weekend! People said that Kristie and I looked alike. What do you think? I'll try to get the rest of the pics up ASAP. Jamie's uncle was kind enough to take pics all week and then sent us home with cd's of the pics! YAY!

It has been a whirlwind 2 days. I spent most of yesterday with my new boss talking about the stuff I will be working on. It sounds so exciting! I started right away helping set up new Tablet PC's that will be going out to field people. I am also scheduled to go to Cincinatti next week with my boss to observe training on them. It is so nice to have my brain challenged!!!!

To those of you in Vevey know that I miss you and hope you are settling in ok!!
