The Next Chapter

mmmmm.. we just got back from lunch. we stopped by the park and sat in the sunshine for 10 minutes or so.... it was soooo nice.

Please don't tell me to relax!

Did you know that Infertility affects 1 in 8 couples? Did you know that of those that seek treatment 85% will get pregnant? We already are the 1 in 8 statistic, we are now hoping to be in the 85%! Knowledge is power, ask me questions about infertility before you tell someone to "Relax and they will get pregnant."
Just a reminder of what NOT TO SAY to say to Jamie, myself or anyone else going through this:
- Just relax or be patient and it will happen (this is so very untrue)
- I know someone that got pregnant after 2 years, maybe that will happen to you! (Yes, maybe it will and maybe it won't, every couple is different)
- I heard drinking whole milk, eating pineapple, standing on your head after sex, etc, will work, have you tried that? (chances are that I have tried it and if I haven't then I would prefer to have my doctor recommend it)
- If you adopt you will get pregnant (you only hear the stories of this happening but there are many more stories where it doesn't)
- Maybe it's not God's plan for you to get pregnant (I don't think it is God's plan for people to get sick either but noone suggests they should just live with an illness.)

What should you say?
- Nothing at all.
- I'm sorry you are having trouble getting pregnant, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
- Tell me more... I would like to know more... Educate me....
