WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!! Well the weather sux, but I am in a great mood! My mom leaves today and will be here tomorrow. Think good thoughts for her as she is going to try to brave public transport all on her own to get to my flat. It will be an adventure for her!

I also received great news yesterday!!! A friend from work back in Glendale applied for a job here and got it!!! He will be moving here in June! I am soooooo very excited. I have been in a particularily bad homesick funk for the last week and this makes all the difference in the world!

Well another exciting weekend of sitting around and watching the rain. I did venture out on Saturday to go see Wonderland (it was all right, kind of good) and go grocery shopping. I also bought 3 more wedding magazines which puts me up to about 20. That was about it. Since I didn't take any pictures this weekend, you will get leftovers from Stephens house form last weekend. Yoshiko took these.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO RICHARD WOLF ON SUNDAY!!!!

They like TV shows where they are fixing things. They fix up alot of houses and gardens and people. They really like getting in the middle of marriages and making people look stupid on TV. Last night they started a new show called "Fairy Godfathers" it was too good a premise to resist. The thing is that they got 2 woman to say their husbands were awful good for nothings and the show sent the wives away for a week. During that week 2 gay guys went in and lived with them to help them get in touch with "their inner woman" It was quite funny and the men were really good sports about it. They gay guys threw away their ugly clothes and taught them how to cook and iron and clean. At the end the women were happy and they got new husbands.....Now do you see why I complain about tv over here? That was the best thing on and at prime time! 9PM!!!

Well it is the weekend! YAY! Very excited about mom coming next week so I will relax as the next 3 weekends will be crazy! Rome, then Paris then Ireland. Whew, I'll need a vacation after all that.

Mom is bringing me grandmas cookie and grandpas scones.... mmmm.... can't wait!

Mike's party was swell. It is so handy living in the same building! The group gave him Ray-Bans for sunny SoCal and a Doughmasters apron! Fantastic!

Work is sooooo busy right now! I say this in a good way though. It is nice to be so involved and having a feeling of accomplishment. Speaking of work.... gotta go!

Tonight is Mike's going away party. It is all too sad..... forgive me while I go off to cry.....

Well I accomplished my goal for the weekend. I did nothing!! Saturday I took a shower around 4 and went grocery shopping with Mike (our last grocery tip..) and then back home and back into my jammies. I did watch Rosemary's Baby with all the lights on and it wasn't as scary as I thought it might be... Sunday Mike, Reed, Yoshiko and I went to Stephan's house "The Lawn" He lives out in the country near Winchester about 1.5 hours away. It was a lovely day and I got to meet his wife Natalia and children Sasha and Andre. We had a wonderful BBQ and jumped around on the trampoline. The boys played some football, frisbee and ping-pong. The sun was out and I even took off my jacket a few times! Wonderful.
Monday I.. you guessed it sat around. What else are you supposed to do when you have the day off work and nothing planned? I imagined what I would want to do instead of going to work if it were a regular work day and all I could think was to lay around. I finally talked myself into going to the gym at 3:30. (Lukle, be proud! I am now on week 4. Walk 3 minutes and run 7 for 3 times!!!) I also did some weight training. I felt very proud of myself and went back home to my jammies!
